Vijay Kumar: Iran is a terrorist organization

With a dense field of 11 candidates, the August 5th Republican Primary in Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District has earned national attention.  Traditionally a Democrat seat, TN-5 represents the heart of Tennessee – the voice of Nashville.  Quickly separating himself from the Republican contenders, Vijay Kumar is sending a clarion call to the voters of Tennessee: Defeat Universal Jihad Now!

And while the bold words ring out from the billboards, the writing is on the wall: A Vijay Kumar victory in August will transform the November mid-term elections into a national referendum on the Obama Administration’s foreign policy and national security strategy.

Dispatched by the Victory Institute to catch up with Vijay Kumar on the campaign trail, I was granted an interview.  Our discussion on the realities developing in the Middle East reveals a unique voice of reason and a candidate that sees the world as it is.

Vijay Kumar is not a politician – he is an American Leader.

________

GARY H. JOHNSON, JR.: The UN Security Council recently passed tough new sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran over its non-compliance with the IAEA on its nuclear activity, leaving the door open for further negotiations. Included in these sanctions are provisions against sales of tanks, helicopters, missiles and other military hardware.

Mr. Kumar, You have called for the de-militarization of Iran. From your perspective, will these new sanctions cripple Iran’s military capacity?

VIJAY KUMAR: The language of the latest UN Security Council resolution as it relates to tanks, helicopters, missiles and other military hardware you refer to, calls upon all States to “exercise vigilance and restraint in the supply, sale or transfer” to Iran of such military hardware. There are few ways to word a weaker and less effective “sanction.” It does put stronger limits on Iran selling arms, but it does nothing whatsoever toward reducing Iran’s existing military capability. So, no, to answer your question directly: I see nothing in the wording of the UN resolution that will cripple Iran’s military capacity, or reduce it in any way.

JOHNSON: Will the new UN Sanction Resolution slow Tehran’s progress toward achieving a nuclear weapon?

VIJAY KUMAR: I don’t have any crystal ball on that count. This latest resolution is layered on top of Security Council Resolution 1737 and Resolution 1696. I’m glad that China and Russia have signed on, and I’m heartened by the increasing international attention and pressure. But it remains to be seen whether Iran will now comply with the requirements of the resolutions, which it so far has ridiculed and snubbed.

JOHNSON: Also targeted in the UN sanctions draft resolution were 15 elements of the IRGC.

To your mind, what does the IRGC represent?

VIJAY KUMAR: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps controls Iran, and is controlled by the Islamic clerics, not by Iran’s president, who is a figurehead. I was living in Iran in 1979 during the Islamic Revolution, and the IRGC was created that year as the enforcement arm for Ayatollah Khomeini. They are the embodiment of Islam’s inherent militarism and the autocratic theocracy it seeks to impose on the rest of the world through Universal Jihad.

JOHNSON: Is the IRGC a terrorist organization?

VIJAY KUMAR: It is a secretive organization, especially the elite Quds force—or Qods, as the UN resolution refers to them—who answer directly to the current Ayatollah, Khamenei. Their job is to export the Islamic revolution, and, according to a 2009 Reuters report, the United States has branded the Qods as a terrorist organization that backs Islamic militants in Iraq, Lebanon and Afghanistan.

Terror is a tool of Universal Jihad. It is mandated by Islam’s scripture. Every Islamic military force, by their own creed, is a terrorist organization when it suits them. Since the Islamic Revolution, Iran is a terrorist organization, and their nuclear program itself is a function of terrorism.

JOHNSON: Israeli officials have indicated that the UN Sanctions regime is a “good start” while not crippling. Susan Rice, the United States Ambassador to the UN, has coined the measures “comprehensive.”

What questions and loopholes remain unresolved from the Israeli perspective?

VIJAY KUMAR: Israel’s statement on the resolution also said, correctly: “Iran blatantly violated all the previous resolutions, and demonstrates blatant disregard for the international community and its institutions.” Islam in its core creed demonstrates blatant disregard for the international community and its institutions—they are the institutions of man, and Islam’s self-view of divine supremacy holds nothing but contempt for the institutions and laws of man. So it should come as no surprise to anyone when Iran—part of the Axis of Universal Jihad, along with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan—demonstrates such blatant disregard for the institutions of the kaffir, the infidel. Iran is merely reflecting Islam’s elitism and dogged intent for world domination.

Israel is a major roadblock to Universal Jihad’s goal of world domination. As long as Israel exists, the Axis of Universal Jihad will be focused on attacking Israel on every front available, by any means possible. The so-called humanitarian flotilla is merely another front in the war of Islam on Israel.

You may note that a story appeared in the U.K. that Saudi Arabia had tested its air space to allow Israel to use a narrow corridor of that air space to attack Iran. Now an unnamed Saudi Foreign Ministry official has vigorously denied the story as being false and “slanderous,” and referred in his statement to “the Israeli occupation regime,” yet another slap across the face of Israel by the Axis of Jihad.

JOHNSON: Do you consider the sanctions “comprehensive”?

VIJAY KUMAR: No. There can be no comprehensive sanctions without the nations of the world recognizing and acknowledging Islam’s goal of world domination, and without naming the nations that are the Axis of Jihad—Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan—as enemies of mankind and human rights.

JOHNSON: The UN sanctions resolution calls for a UN “Panel of Experts” to monitor implementation of the sanctions and report on violations. Secretary Clinton said she has appointed Robert Einhorn, the State Department’s special adviser for non-proliferation, to head up a team to “oversee implementation of the sanctions” rather than “leave it to chance.”

In your opinion, if the door to negotiations remains open for Iran, will this UN panel or Einhorn’s team have any actual power to enforce these sanctions?

VIJAY KUMAR: Both the United Kingdom’s UN representative and the United States’ representative made statements of record of continued willingness to resolve the issues with Iran through negotiations, and it is proof positive that no one in either nation’s administration has ever bothered to study the treaties of Muhammad. Negotiations are undertaken by Islamic regimes for one purpose, and only one purpose: to advance Islam’s domination over all non-Islamic nations and people. There is no other purpose, ever.

“A Muslim has no nationality except his belief.” Islam’s Syed Qutb said that, but he was only reflecting what Muhammad himself said in the Quran: “The Believers are but a single brotherhood.”

Both the UN and our State Department are being toyed with by that “single brotherhood” the way a cat toys with a mouse. They approach Islam as though they were dealing with rational people who will keep their word and tell the truth. The Islamic nations have no respect for either the UN or the United States State Department, and will say or do anything that serves their own interests.

JOHNSON: Will Syria have any incentive to comply with the resolution?

VIJAY KUMAR: I can’t think of a single one. Syria is 87% Islamic, and Syria lost face in the brotherhood when it lost the Golan Heights. It has been in a political state of emergency ever since. Let’s not lose sight of the fact that long before Iran’s puppet president Ahmadinejad started calling for Israel to be wiped from the face of the map, it was Syria’s president who promised to “explode the Zionist presence in the Arab homeland” and to “enter into a battle of annihilation” against Israel. So you see, Islam’s hatred of Israel and determination to crush it out of existence is universal and timeless. Just the Islamic mouthpiece changes, but the propaganda message never changes. It can’t; it is taken directly from the Quran itself.

JOHNSON: In your estimation, could the UN sanctions have an adverse effect on America’s contingency operations in Iraq and Afghanistan?

VIJAY KUMAR: Unless the UN follows through with sanctions on Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, yes. I have said repeatedly that the victims of Universal Jihad must join together to isolate, demilitarize, and secularize the Axis of Universal Jihad.

JOHNSON: In December, the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation calling for tough unilateral sanctions against Iran. By late January, the U.S. Senate had passed its own version. Both bills focused on weakening the Tehran regime’s energy sector; however, the momentum for passage by Congress of a final bill has been stalled by the Obama Administration to allow diplomacy a chance to work at the UN.

Has the Obama Administration’s diplomatic efforts purchased China and Russia’s support of the Iran Sanctions resolution for the mean price of key exemptions in the final wording of U.S. unilateral Iranian sanctions legislation?

VIJAY KUMAR: There is no question that the Obama administration is actively working to water down the proposed U.S. sanctions bill against Iran. I have said that Barack Hussein Obama is a crypto-Muslim, and all of his foreign policy actions have reinforced that observation.

If, though, the administration has in fact brokered a deal with China and Russia for the feeble language of the UN sanctions with the specific intent of handcuffing our own legislators in carrying out their obligations to the best security interests of the United States, that is very serious indeed.

JOHNSON: In your opinion, has the engagement process of trade-offs weakened or strengthened US congressional capacity to isolate Iran?

VIJAY KUMAR: Even a Democratic Representative, Brad Sherman, has said that Obama wants the new law to be “as weak and loophole-ridden as possible.” I think that sums it up quite well.

JOHNSON: The Strait of Hormuz will likely come under heightened scrutiny in the implementation of stricter restrictions on Iranian Shipping Lines. The 2010 National Security Strategy contends that ensuring a “constant flow of commerce” and “keeping strategic straits and vital sea lanes open” is the rationale for pursuing the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Do you consider the ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty as a necessary step to rein in Iran, or do you consider ratifying UNCLOS as an unnecessary encroachment on US National Sovereignty?

VIJAY KUMAR: The latter. I agree with Jeanne Kirkpatrick’s assessment, when she testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee, that the ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty could compromise the United States’ self-government and self-defense. I also find David A. Ridenour’s analysis, called “A Not-So-Innocent Passage” compelling.

JOHNSON: You have made stopping “Universal Jihad” and halting the advances of Sharia Law the central pillar of your campaign for Congress. The 2010 National Security Strategy has institutionalized the abandonment of the phrases “militant Islamic radicalism” and “Jihadists” in reference to al Qaeda and the Taliban a cornerstone of its Muslim engagement effort.

Is it possible for the United States to confront Iran’s nuclear ambitions without referring to the apocalyptic jihadist aspirations of the leadership in Tehran?

VIJAY KUMAR: Absolutely not. The 2010 National Security Strategy is a product of CAIR’s Islamic propaganda and the Islamists that have infiltrated almost every level of our government. It is propaganda by redefinition of terms, one of the propagandists’ most potent weapons.

In this case, there is some interesting irony, in that terrorism and Islamic aggression has never really been carried out by Islamic “radicals.” Terrorism and aggression are practices called for in the most holy texts of Islam. It actually is Literal Islam.

JOHNSON: Will merely isolating the regime from the benefits of integrating into the international order, in any meaningful way, curb Iran’s continual violation of human rights or its serial application of state-sponsored terrorism?

VIJAY KUMAR: Why would it? Nothing has dissuaded Islam’s violation of human rights or its serial application of state-sponsored terrorism during the last 1400 years except the Crusades and world wars. The Caliphate was shattered by World War I, and Islamists have been trying to restore it ever since. Iran is merely one arm of the “one brotherhood” that is Islam, and it is doing exactly what Literal Islam has always done. Bullying, contempt, and supremacy over the infidel is the holiest act of Islam.

JOHNSON: What prescriptive solutions to the Iranian situation would you put forward as a U.S. Representative for Tennessee?

VIJAY KUMAR: My position is clear and unequivocal: Islam’s Universal Jihad and Sharia law pose a clear and present existential threat to the very existence of the United States, and to every liberty, freedom, and human right that this nation was founded upon.

This is not a threat that is specific to or isolated to the 5th District of Tennessee, so no such narrow analysis would have any value. But if the American people do not awake to the nature and seriousness of this threat, if we do not take swift and effective action to protect our republic from it, if we do not openly and candidly name the enemies of freedom and human liberty—in short, if Islam is allowed to realize its goals—then one day there will be no 5th District of Tennessee, nor will there be any Tennessee, nor will there be a United States of America, and the Quran will be the only constitution ruling this land that we cherish.

That is why as a U.S. Representative, I will do everything in my power to provide leadership to better—and honestly—inform the American people and our allies. I will do everything in my power to implement law and recommend foreign policy that will preserve our Constitution against the onslaught of Sharia, and will help to form a worldwide coalition of the many victims of Universal Jihad: Jew and Gentile, Saxon and Slav, Hindu and Buddhist, Catholic and Protestant, Orthodox and Evangelical, Norwegian and Nigerian, all have a stake in facing and stopping Universal Jihad.

That is why we must name the real Axis of Universal Jihad—Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan—and why we must do whatever is necessary to isolate, demilitarize, and secularize those nations. When that is done, the nations of the world can finally know peace—real peace as nations of mutual respect and cooperation, not the Islamic brand of “peace” through intimidation, threat, duress, and submission.

JOHNSON: Thank you, Vijay.
